2018 Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid Touring Plus: Race Organizer Review

As is usual for my trips to be effective at Northern California Twenty four hours of Lemons races, I acquired the van along at the Oakland Airport and stopped by my childhood home within the Island That Rust Forgot. It's a 43-mile drive from that point on the front gate of Sonoma Raceway.

Here's one reason racers love minivans so much. They drive like cars, they consume fuel like cars, and— maybe best of all— they hold more like your unorganized crap than just about any SUV. If it was time to shoo away sheep and clean up my camp, I really hurled everything in the big side openings and forgot about that.

Driving the Pacifica Hybrid is really an uneventful experience; it's tough to detect the switch between gasoline and electric motors, thus it feels about as with any competent modern car on your way. Nothing exciting, but nothing irritating. The sound system during the stereo audio provides the proper wattage for Race Organizer tunes and the whole experience is about 19 times more comfortable compared to truck-influenced monsters that a lot of those that really need a minivan often buy instead.

I drove accurately everytime 393 miles, mostly highway and without earning any make an effort to conserve energy, and consumed 7.909 gallons of gas. That's just a hair under 50 miles per gallon, automobile that weighs nearly 2 1/2 tons and seats seven. I didn't keep adequate tabs on electricity consumed to calculate the buying price of the kilowatt-hours used during those 393 miles, but it couldn't are already above the expense of several gallons of California Regular Unleaded. I'd label this a fantastic performance and proof that people reside in a golden ages of automotive technology.
